Tax Overburden in India (Open Loot by Government)

I’ve been a taxpayer since 2007. As I grew, my income-tax grew. And now it pinched much. It's a real pain giving so much to the government who gives you nothing in return.

Some people say the government is giving you facilities to live on this earth. But, this same facility is given to any other person who is not giving any taxes. There should be some benefits to an ordinary man who is giving taxes.

Pain Points

  1. I’ve been reading through Linked-in posts and found so many people lost their jobs in this Covid time. And, even without Covid, so many people become jobless due to whatever reasons.
The government did nothing for those people. These people were honest taxpayers, who gave their hard-earned money to the government. Now, these people are in need, they can not even ask for their money back in this troubled time. These people are now struggling with their daily expenses, EMIs, etc.
  2. The amount after deducting the income-tax is not completely mine too. I give tax on every single thing I purchase. I pay ~18% tax on cars, ~18% tax on property buy, and so on. I mean, what the hell.
Even a 10Rs pen has taxes.
  3. There are no concessions anywhere. I do pay 3–4 toll taxes (300–600 Rs) in a merely 200km drive. I pay 50–200 Rs in parking my car on the road side. There are no free open grounds for my kids to play.

What the Government can do

  1. Give our taxes back in form of a retirement fund.
  2. Distribute our income taxes to the poor people and give us proper records on where our money is being spent on.
  3. Give our income tax money to our needy relatives.
  4. Give our names to Roads. (I’m serious). I mean why its been named on some politicians who never paid taxes. They are doing their job, and we are also doing our job.
  5. Give some discounts on school admissions.
  6. Why should we give taxes on the things we buy from our already deducted money.

The pain did not end here!

Real Estate Story

Recently, I’ve been roaming around with my friends in search of property (Residential/Commercial). I came to know, that whatever amount I buy the property for, I have to pay 12% GST (tax) for every payment I do. And, finally 5% amount for the Registry (Final documentation with authority). So, a total of 17% TAX for the payment.

If the property amount is 10,00,000 Rs (10 Lakh Rs), then I will have to pay 1,70,000 Rs as Taxes.

But my pain became double when I came to know if I pay the amount in CASH, I need not give any such taxes. All my honesty fell apart.

I mean, all my life I’ve been giving Income taxes, but all these benefits are for the people who are not giving their taxes.

I was ashamed of my honesty (honestly) at that time. All these loopholes are for the bad people, the people who already earn more through black money. And, there is no ADVANTAGE for an Honest Tax Payer.

The Government is doing NOTHING

When our dear Prime Minister declared the famous Demonetisation. I felt so good, that WOW now bad people will realize. But, our dear Prime Minister was so poor in his implementation that nothing could be recovered. There were a lot of loopholes, that bad people found their way. And, things are at the same place where they were earlier.

Is the government so deaf/dumb that they do not see these loop-holes. Or, are these for the benefit of the bad people.

One thing is sure,

A salaried man paid Taxes and will pay Taxes. He/She is born to give taxes.

Government is Openly Looting Us
